The Instalco subsidiary Elovent AB has been contracted for the electrical installations at a new prison that is being built for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in Kalmar. For this project, the Instalco subsidiaries Vallacom AB and Sydsvenska Elanläggningar AB have been engaged as subcontractors.
The order value for Instalco is approximately SEK 60 million. It is a partnering project with Skanska, which has been contracted by Skandrenting for construction of the new prison.
“We have a long-standing track record of successful collaboration with Skanska and are proud to contribute to this project and help build a safer, more secure society. With many installations and complex systems involved, the project will demand close collaboration with all of the parties involved – Skanska and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. It is a process I greatly look forward to being part of,” says David Alm, CEO of Elovent.
The new prison will be a 7-story building with total area of approximately 12,000 square metres. The project is already underway and Instalco is scheduled to complete the deliveries during Q3 2027.
