The Instalco company, Romerike Elektro AS, has won yet another assignment for electrical work at a school. This time, it is a contract for the electrical installations in conjunction with the renovation and expansion of Skedsmo High School in Lillestrøm, near Oslo.

They have been contracted for the complete electrical installations and alarm system with an order value of NOK 47 million. The contract is with Veidekke’s subsidiary, Seby AS, which is building the school on behalf of Akershus County Municipality.

This is one of several major school renovation and expansion projects at Akershus. Skedsmo High School is undergoing a renovation and expansion that increases its capacity from 1,200 to 1,500 students. Parts of the current main building will be demolished. After that, an extension of around 10,000 sq. m. will be built of solid timber.

The project will be environmentally certified in accordance with BREEAM-NOR, with a rating of Very Good. Romerike Elektro also aspires to certify the project as a Sustainable Instalco Project. Romerike Elektro will start the assignment during fall 2025 and it is scheduled for completion at the end of 2026.
